An exhibition dedicated to the phenomenon of organized amateur photography in the period from its beginnings (1889) to the 1950s.
In terms of architecture, the exhibition is a combination of gallery and narrative way of thinking about space.
The exhibition is without access to daylight, both to protect historical photographs and to evoke the atmosphere of dark photographic chambers, with the help of red light effects.
The right side of the hall is dedicated to the gallery of photographs, while the left side presents the history of amateur photography with exhibits of photographic technique.
There are loosely placed built-in volumes in the space, simulating the typical environment in which amateur photographers worked - a clubhouse and two darkrooms with fully equipped home improvised darkroom interiors - a kitchen of the 20s and a bathroom of the 50s. Large-format photo projection is used on the exterior walls of the built-ins. The back of the hall is dominated by the diorama of a "photographic trip".
