Our design studio has formed the „look“ of this bar from it's early beginnings. The former basement in the cornerhouse in Pařížská street, full of rummage, was arranged for the first time in 1994.
Recently, in 2010-2011, the fundamental reconstruction was finished.
The bar was already morally and physicaly worn-out from it\\\\\\'s daily use.
The aim was to preserve the former ambience of the bar, not to change the whole interior.
We wanted to preserve the functional scheme of the bar and to „move“ the design a little bit ahead.
Our task was to work with each particular detail to form an unique harmonious space. The new details are not visible for the first look, they could be noticed after a while by the observing visitors.
The layout and materials
The layout is in effect without any changes. There was nothing to change, the disposal space is very limited. But the material designing of the bar interior was the biggest challenge!
The interior of the bar is arranged as the interiors of luxury cars. Everything is placed on the right place, agreeable for touch and smell. Each material is chosen very carefully with the emphasis on the detail.
The benches are covered with natural leather that was chemicaly adjusted, accompanied by the seems as a remark to the luxury cars.
The leather is also used on the walls in combination with the chromium steel and the exotic makasar wood.
The expressive element of the interior are the „lighting“ wine showcases, the visitor can choose an exact wine bottle directly, inspirated by it\\\\\\'s visual aspect.
The bar – the most important place of the interior – has got throw the most remarkable reconstruction. The „new“ bar uses the most exclusive materials. The front of the bar is covered by natural leather in combination with the chromium steel and the exotic makasar wood.
The upper board is from the natural onyx stone completed with the leather edging facing the visitors.The expressive visual effect is achieved by the lower lights shining throw the bottom of the glasses, the drink is served as a magic liquid. With this effect we attracted the visitor and also promoted the barman to the magician.
